It is said that Ignaz Wangler born in 1842 was the son of the gunmaker Jan or Jon Wangler. Also there was a gunmaker-Franz Wangler who passed away on March 16, 1882. A Bohemian periodical of the time states that “The gunsmith Franz Wangler produces the most tasteful and elegant goods.”

The reference book Der Neue Støckel by Eugène Heer states that Ignaz Wangler operated from 1868 to 1890 at which time his brother in law Joseph Schwejda took over his Workshop.
