Von Glowacki, A. W. -Danzig
At the present time nothing is known about A. W. Von Glowacki from Danzig, Imperial Gunsmith (Kaiserl. Büchsenmacher). Following are pictures taken and submitted by a correspondent. They show a early center-fire design with firing pins that are linked to the hammers. It uses a single bite lock up, and the butt plate carries the date-1876. It appears to be a presentation piece and has several interesting motif’s in the engraving, one being the monument on the bottom of the receiver, and the other an Eagle with a crown on the right side of the receiver.
